Band Aid Barbra presents a layered "associative pairing" similar to those that will be found in Alix Pearlstein's forthcoming Band Aid Paintings book where an image of one of Pearlstein's band aid paintings, a series begun in the 1990s, will be paired intermittently with found images punctuating the viewing experience of the painting series and interjecting the body, both concretely and abstractly, underscoring its fragility and resilience.
